Allocation Hearings

September 27, 2009 | | Leave a Comment

If you would like to sit down with the Finance Committee to discuss the reasons behind your operational allocation, the Finance Committee will make ourselves available from 7-10 PM on Monday (9/28) and 7-10 PM on Wednesday (9/30). Please visit the SA Office (Marvin Center 424) to schedule this meeting. Five minute slots will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

As always, if you have any additional questions, the Finance Committee can be reached at safunds@gwu.edu.

For the first time ever, student organizations are submitting their operational budget requests electronically via SAC’s student org website (http://studentorgs.gwu.edu).

These budget requests are submitted along with the yearly registration process. All operational budget requests are due no later than 5 PM on Thursday, September 24.

A reminder: the SA will only fund operational costs, that is those costs that an organization needs to operate on a day-to-day basis. All other funding requests will be considered through the co-sponsorship process as the year goes on.

If you have any questions, please contact the Finance Committee at safunds@gwu.edu.

The SA Senate passed a bill on Tuesday night allowing registered student organizations to begin applying for co-sponsorships, even though the initial allocations bill has not yet been passed.

This is a new innovation in the way the SA hands out money and is designed to make it easier for student orgs to throw events during the beginning of the year.

Registered orgs can begin applying for co-sponsorships through their account on http://studentorgs.gwu.edu.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at safunds@gwu.edu.

Thanks,

Connor
